We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve Gwhen:

• Location data: With your permission, we access your device's location to fetch relevant weather forecasts. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings.
• Activity preferences: Thresholds and activity types you set (for example, what temperature or wind speed is acceptable for a road ride) are stored to personalize your recommendations.
• Calendar information: If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar, we read your calendar to identify free openings. We do not store the contents of your events on our servers.
• Device and usage data: Basic diagnostic and crash information may be collected to help us fix bugs and improve performance. We do not use this data to track you across apps or websites.
• Purchase data: Subscription status is handled by Apple's App Store. We receive only the information Apple provides to confirm your entitlement to paid features.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to: generate weather-based recommendations, match windows to your calendar (if connected), deliver notifications and Live Activities, process and validate subscriptions, diagnose and fix issues, and improve the App's accuracy and reliability.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

• Weather data providers: To retrieve forecast data for your location.
• Calendar providers: When you connect a calendar, the authentication and data exchange happen directly between your device and Google, Microsoft, or Apple.
• Apple: For App Store billing, subscription management, and push notification delivery.
• Legal authorities: If required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Much of your data stays on your device or is processed through encrypted connections to trusted providers. While we work hard to protect your data, no system is completely secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Location and calendar data are typically processed in real time and not retained on our servers. If you delete your account or the App, associated preference data will be removed within a reasonable period.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can manage permissions, notifications, and subscriptions at any time in your device's Settings app or Apple ID settings. Gwhen is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The App and Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as pfplabs.ai, the App Store, or calendar providers). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those services, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, through the App. Your continued use of Gwhen after changes means you accept the revised policy.
